It's been five years and it seems like yesterday. Fabrizio Frizzi died on March 26, 2018 leaving a great void ( guard ). The conductor, married to Carlotta Mantovan in 2014, father of Stella, born on May 3, 2013, was much loved. For his polite television style, for his attention to those who suffer, for his supportive nature. For years he was testimonial of Unitalsi, the Catholic association dedicated to the service of the sick and their transport on pilgrimage to Italian and international sanctuaries. And now, on the anniversary of his disappearance, Unital is opening Casa Frizzi in Milan, a structure destined to welcome the families of sick children – photo | video

THE INAUGURATION - Carlotta Mantovan also participates in the inauguration on 24 March. The date is symbolic for two reasons: it refers to those days in March of illness, a tumor, and Fabrizio's death and also to the 21st National Day of Unitalsi - which this year celebrates its 120th birthday - with events on the weekend of Saturday 25 and Sunday 26. Monsignor Dario Viganò, vice-chancellor of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences, also takes part in the inauguration of Casa Frizzi, delivering a message from Pope Francis. Among other things, the structure (in Italy there are 11 shelters of Unitalsi, which now has Flavio Insinna as its testimonial) encloses within its walls a brick from the Holy Door of the Jubilee of Mercy donated by the Pope himself.

HOSPITALITY IN MILAN – Frizzi had also thought of a place to host people who are going through illness and suffering. Vittore De Carli, president emeritus of Unitalsi Lombardia and supporter of the project that bears the name of the conductor, tells the monthly of the Diocese of Milan, Il Segno. «Fabrizio told me about the receptions for the families of sick children that already existed around Italy and he said to me: “But don't you have anything in Milan? When will you also open a home for children”?». Here it is, now it is. And it bears his name.
