• the fixed-price and variable-price tariffs on the Free Market which allow the customer to be able to choose the offer most in line with their needs by considering the many options available on the market
• the tariffs please (at Free Price Under Equivalent Protection Conditions) which have contractual conditions and a price structure defined by ARERA while the energy price is established directly by the supplier; PLACET offers are available both at fixed and variable prices and provide for an update of the tariff conditions every 12 months

The table below summarizes the results of the Observatory survey for the three consumption profiles considered and the various types of offers available on the Italian energy market.

As the numbers collected by the survey make clear, considering the conditions of September 2022, remain in Greater Protection it means spend between 708 euros, for a Single, and 1,904 euros, for a family of four. Choosing a rate in this category can result in up to 761 euros more than the Enhanced Protection service.

At this moment, however, variable price tariffs are much more convenient . These solutions, which allow direct access to the wholesale market price (with reference to the PUN for electricity and the PSV or the TTF for gas) guarantee a clear saving compared to the Tutela. The data from the study, in fact, confirm that it is possible to save up to 80 euros by focusing on variable-price offers and abandoning the Enhanced Protection service.
