THE CINEMA OF THE REAL - As the artistic director of the Festival dei Popoli Alessandro Stellino explains: 'It is therefore not just a matter of paying homage to two undisputed masters of contemporary cinema, but also of highlighting the way in which they were able to indicate a new path without which there would be the documentary as we know it today. Theirs is a humanist cinema but devoid of rhetoric, cruel and poetic at the same time ”.
