The debut at Buckingham Palace for the first gala in the new guise could not have been better: William's wife conquers everyone. With a dress that is a fairy tale. But never as much as that crown (which belonged to her mother-in-law). And with a tribute also to ElisabettaKate Middleton shines in white, with Diana's tiara at her first reception as Princess of Wales Photo Video
A reception for 150 guests in honor of South African president Cyril Ramaphosa. This is the first official occasion in which we see the new royal team fully dressed: from King Charles III to the Queen consort Camilla, accompanied by the new princes of Wales, William and Kate. In particular, the latter shines in the solemnity of Buckingham Palace, thanks to a tiara that belonged to Diana: the Cambridge lover's knot. But not only that: title, style, elegance, jewels... everything is reminiscent of Lady D. Not surprisingly - Photo | videoHarry and Meghan, the video for Elton John is also self-referential... THE RETURN OF THE PRINCESS OF WALES - Kate Middleton's debut with Lady D's headline couldn't be more spot-on. Kate Middleton chooses a tiara that belonged to her late mother-in-law. The earrings are also Diana's, composed of diamonds and pearls from the South Seas (which William's wife had already worn on other occasions). Among the jewels flaunted during the evening also the art deco brooch by the Bentley & Skinner maison with a photograph of the queen and another tribute to Elizabeth: hers is the pearl bracelet that Kate wore on her wrist.
A WHITE LADY – Even the dress did not disappoint expectations. Kate wears an ice-white, floor-length cape dress embellished with crystals. Signed Jenny Packham, this creation was initially created for the designer's bridal collection, but was adapted for the princess.
BIG FESTA ALLA COURT OF INGHILTERRA – The Buckingham Palace Ballroom is the stage for official receptions and welcomes 150 guests during the evening in honor of the African leader (Princess Anne and her husband Sir Timothy Laurence with the Counts of Wessex were also present). King Charles III inaugurates his regency through his choices and his style, different from that of his mother Elizabeth: for the flowers he chooses only 'home' foliage and corollas, while in the kitchens of Buckingham Palace the royal chefs have created of Protea, the national flower of South Africa.
A TRIBUTE TO ELIZABETH – The evening was also enriched by a tribute to the late queen: Charles, in fact, showed President Ramaphosa a photo of Elizabeth II with South African leader Nelson Mandela, together with the original text of the famous speech Elizabeth gave in South Africa when she 21 years.Source: oggi.it
