RB Leipzig landed a transfer coup with Timo Werner last week. With regard to the current Bundesliga season, however, things are not looking very rosy for Leipzig. After the first two match days and two draws, RB is currently only eleventh in the table and thus far behind their own claims.

In addition to the result-related tense atmosphere, there is now displeasure from the dressing room. According to information from the ' picture ' Emil Forsberg is very dissatisfied with his deployment times and the way he is treated.

Offensive oversupply for Leipzig

Leipzig have selectively strengthened their already prominent attacking department with Timo Werner. Coach Domenico Tedesco therefore has to choose from an oversupply of players, the rest have to sit on the bench. Emil Forsberg is one of them, but seems to have little understanding for the new role .

The Swede has been playing for RB Leipzig since 2015, back then in the 2. Bundesliga . Since then he has scored 58 goals in 260 competitive games and assisted another 58. The disappointment is all the greater because he doesn't get enough regular playing time. In the current season he only played five minutes.

Forsberg consultant: 'Not okay'

His player advisor, Hasan Cetinkaya, has now commented on the situation at RB: 'Emil has always stood by the club. Now there is a rotation due to the many strong players on the offensive, which is also ok. What is not ok is that Emil is not in this rotation. Emil is training well and deserves respect. But there are people at the club who don't seem to want that.'

However, Cetinkaya still owes a name. But according to the consultant, neither coach Domenico Tedesco nor managing director Oliver Mintzlaff is to blame. Rather, Forsberg will be 'braked elsewhere'. According to the consultant, the person who is supposed to be involved prefers players he knows from Salzburg.

So far, however, he had ruled out a departure from Leipzig: ' There are many requests for Emil. But so far a change hasn't been an issue because Emil loves the city and the club.' However, if his situation does not improve, that could change again. Forsberg has already aroused interest in some English clubs.
